Metroid Creator Is For a Prime Sequel
Metroid superintendent Yoshio Sakamoto has nothing against Retro Studios fashioning a sequel to the Metroid Meridian serial publication – he said that he'd "encourage" them to develop a new idea for the series.
Just because Nintendo has teamed up with Team Ninja to make the still mysterious Metroid: Another M doesn't signify that the company has forgotten about their early partners when information technology comes to all things Samus. Reggie Fils-Aime may say that Other M is the direction that Nintendo wants to take Metroid in for now, merely Samus' creator himself is open to the possibility of former things.
"With regards to the Prime serial, if the squad at Ex post facto comes functioning with an idea that does bring together a sequel to the series to realization, I by all means encourage them to do that," Metroid creator Yoshio Sakamoto said. "Merely I'm non directly involved with the Prime games. In footing of the Metroid series stories that I've told, the games that I've been involved in, I started with the NES Metroid and took IT through with Fusion."
So put on't count out the Prime series equally dead and through, just expect the franchise to steer in another direction for the nearly future. And that direction, according to Sakamoto, will find Nintendo excavation deeper into Samus' history and character. Other M, He says, isn't just about sort of by-product storywise but takes place in the Metroid timeline proper, fill in the communicatory interruption between Super Metroid and the GBA's Metroid Fusion.
"One of my goals is to present Samus as an appealing anthropoid character, and that involves explaining a little second about what happened in her past besides as the characters that influenced her," Sakamoto same. "The story will play a big part."
But will it reveal Samus' workout ordinary? Because I really lack to make out her physical fitness secrets.
